A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

What inspired the Academy.

Too often, leaders are expected to take on greater responsibility without access to the development they need. I know because I lived it.
I was a determined leader, learning on the fly, often the hard way. There was no clear pathway or place to begin.
This changed when my CEO nominated me for a young leader award. I was fortunate to be recognized, and the experience opened the door to further learning.
I went on to earn a Master's in Leadership, an executive coaching certification, and an advanced certification in neuroleadership.

It's the pathway I
wished had existed.

Early in my studies, I learned something I'll never forget: cheating in a learning organization is having knowledge and not sharing it. That insight inspired eLeadership Academy.
It's the pathway I wished had existed, built for leaders who are still becoming.

Sandra McDowell

Founder, CEO & Lead Faculty
With nearly two decades of executive experience, Sandra holds a Master’s in Leadership, an ICF PCC designation, and a Certificate in Neuroleadership. She has taught at several universities and authored Your Mother Was Right: 15 Unexpected Lessons About Leadership and the Brain.

Jayne Paquin

MA, PCC, CEC

Associate Faculty & Affiliate Coach
With over 25 years of experience in human resources and leadership, Jayne holds a Master's in Executive and Organizational Coaching, is an ICF PCC-certified executive coach, and serves as Associate Faculty at both Royal Roads and eLeadership Academy.

Rhonda Taylor

MA, CFP

Associate Faculty
With over 35 years of leadership experience, Rhonda is President and CEO of HMECU and holds a Master’s in Leadership. Her values-based approach, commitment to innovation and inclusion, and belief in developing others shape how she supports leaders.

Charlene Murray

Associate Faculty
Charlene is a values-driven leader with executive experience in People & Culture, Governance and Risk. She holds a CPHR designation, a certificate in Advanced Management from UBC Sauder, and has studied at Royal Roads University, with expertise in diversity, equity and inclusion.

Fintan Ryan

MBA, CEC, ACC

Affiliate Coach
Fintan brings 30 years of global executive experience, including CEO roles in Ireland and Canada. He holds an MBA, a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University, an ICF ACC designation, and certification in the Five Behaviors Model.
